PULLMAN, Wash. – The Fresno State baseball team is back on the road to face the Washington State Cougars for the first time in 13 years at Bailey-Brayton Field.

YEARS IN THE MAKING

The Bulldogs are facing the Cougars for the first time in 13 years.

Fresno State hosted Washington State in March of 2011 and swept the Cougars in a three-game series.

The Diamond 'Dogs have won six straight against the Cougars, dating back to 1997.

NEW COUGS ON THE BLOCK

Fresno State is getting an early look at future Mountain West opponents in Washington State this weekend.

Washington State baseball will be joining the Mountain West beginning in 2024-25 academic year, the conference announced on April 16.

The Cougars are 7-14 in conference play thus far in their final season in the Pac-12.

THE ELEPHANT ON THE FIELD…

The Diamond 'Dogs are currently riding a six-game skid, the longest of the season.

Fresno State lost a series for the first time in 2024 with three straight losses to San Jose State.

Despite the losing streak, the Bulldogs are still sitting in first place, two games above second place.

The Bulldogs are taking a break from Mountain West opponents this week with five straight nonconference games on the schedule.
