All these loony, crazy-hot fry-an-egg-on-it days are bringing us nights where it's so uncomfortable it's hard to sleep, so we thought we'd give you some Fresno-nights sleep tips...
Use Cotton Sheets...Lightweight cotton is breathable and allows for ventilation and airflow.
NO STOVE...No one likes to cook in the kitchen on a sweltering afternoon. Go with a salad or veggie platter or fire up the bar-b-que.
Fan out. Point box fans out the window so they push hot air out. Same with ceiling fans. Reverse them on hot nights to pull the hot air up.
H2O...Water on the nightstand. Stay hydrated.
Ice Packs. If you just can't get cool at bedtime, try an ice pack on the wrist, neck or even behind the knees. Really works! Works fast!
Get low. Hot air rises. (Throw you mattress on the floor?)
Sleep solo. Sleeping alone reduces body heat. Stretch out. (Throw your partner on the floor. Ha!)
If all else fails, take a cold shower (after you throw your partner on the floor).
