Poodle-Shih Tzu mix Tonik is up for adoption. "There is a very sweet boy in there who is trying to figure things out and enjoy people. It seems he has not had too much socialization,” says the Petfinder.com posting.
It could well be Tonik's lucky day!
The poodle/Shih Tzu cross — on Petfinder.com posting with an "eerily human-like" face — is up for adoption after being saved from a kill shelter in Kentucky.
And it looks more than likely he'll now be found a good home, after observers noted his resemblance to a person and his image went viral online.
The two-year-old was saved from being put down by the Homeward Bound Animal Welfare Group in Mishawaka, Indiana.
A listing on Petfinder.com states, "There is a very sweet boy in there who is trying to figure things out and enjoy people. It seems he has not had too much socialization.
"He is great with other dogs. He is not dangerous, but should not be placed with young children because he will get too overwhelmed.
"He will need a home with lots of patience & good energy."
Fully micro-chipped, groomed and given a clean bill of health, his adoption donation is $250.
Think that diet soda is healthier for you...you might be suprised!
Artificially-sweetened sodas have been linked to a higher risk of Type 2 diabetes for women than sodas sweetened with ordinary sugar. It seems women drink more of the diet soda than regular soda sweetened with sugar. Which in turn ups your risk of Type 2 Diabetes! The paper noted previous research which says that aspartame -- the most frequently-used artificial sweetener -- has a similar effect on blood glucose and insulin levels as the sucrose used in regular sweeteners.
Wait...before you 'unfriend' me!
Seems like unfriending on facebook has it's ups and downs...yeah you don't have to put up with annoying posts from the offender anymore...but did you know that you could be risking a friendship? 40 percent of people surveyed said they would steer clear of anyone in real life who had unfriended them on Facebook. Another 10 percent were unsure. Women said they would avoid contact more than men.
Looks like Robin is headed back to GMA! YAY! So glad to see she is doing better and ready to hit our screens again! She recently passed the 100-day mark -- an important milestone for bone marrow transplant recipients -- and has been easing her way back into action by showing up at the GMA studio to see how her skin would react to the lights and how she would react to the stress.
