SHAKIRA: Gives Birth to Baby Boy
Shakira is a mom.
The singer and her soccer-playing boyfriend Gerard Piqué welcomed a baby boy named Milan in Spain on Tuesday. According to Shakira's website, the tot's name means "dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification."
Milan weighed in at 6 pounds, 6 ounces, and he and Shakira are said to be in "excellent health."
KE$HA: A Message to the President
Kesha didn't get invited to play any of the official inaugural parties in Washington, D.C. this week, but she did take the stage at a recording industry event held to celebrate President Obama's re-election -- and she sent a message to the Prez.
Kesha admitted that if she got an audience with the Commander-in-Chief, she'd probably "kiss him first," then speak her piece. She tells the Hollywood Reporter, "I would just encourage him to look at equal rights and animal rights. Him addressing equal rights...was moving for me. A lot of my friends and family are gay and lesbian, and it's an issue that's very close to my heart. Anything you can do to help people look at each other in a non-judgmental way, I think it's a positive thing.”
