Hi! My wife Lisa and I have a 12 year old boy named Jackson and a 9 year old girl named Lauren. Jackson's a sweet kid who loves math and science and is already way beyond me when it comes to computers. Lauren may seem shy, but ask her about animals, especially West Highland White Terriers, and she'll talk your fluffy little ears off!
Friday night is our family "Star Trek and pizza night," and we like to go for hikes and bike rides. On weekends I play ice-hockey with other old, slow guys, and I'm eager to take the kids to a Kings or Ducks game soon! Lisa and I are also the owners of 2 self-serve frozen yogurt stores, so we like to support other small business owners!
This freaked me out! I was recently on a cruise ship, and the waiter at dinner had memorized everybody's name within the first 10 minutes of dinner. I ran into the guy the next day at the buffet and he said "Hello, Bruce!"
I have worked with some of the same people here for a year, was introduced to them once the first day, forgot their name and have been too embarrassed to ask again ever since! It's way too late now!
So I'm starting a new personal crusade to start remembering everyone's name. I think the waiter had some visual trick he used (Example: "Really, really cool, macho guy = Bruce Springsteen or Bruce Lee = Bruce the cruise guy).
I've already met a couple people today: Greasy Hair Guy and Ashtray Breath. I forget their names.
