Hi! My wife Lisa and I have a 12 year old boy named Jackson and a 9 year old girl named Lauren. Jackson's a sweet kid who loves math and science and is already way beyond me when it comes to computers. Lauren may seem shy, but ask her about animals, especially West Highland White Terriers, and she'll talk your fluffy little ears off!
Friday night is our family "Star Trek and pizza night," and we like to go for hikes and bike rides. On weekends I play ice-hockey with other old, slow guys, and I'm eager to take the kids to a Kings or Ducks game soon! Lisa and I are also the owners of 2 self-serve frozen yogurt stores, so we like to support other small business owners!
It was a minty-fresh controversy at the Michael Jackson wrongful-death trial. The defendants, Michael's concert promoters, brought delicious peppermints to the trial, which were enjoyed by jurors and Michael's mother. The Jackson family lawyers objected to this cool, refreshing candy gift, and it was ruled that any further sweet, sweet candy brought to the trial must be given to the baliff before the jury enters the room.
I guess I can see the logic here. If lawyers could hand out candy to jurors at any trial, it would only be a matter of time before this got out of control. Jury room: "Well, I know he strangled all those people, but the Junior Mints were delicious! He can't be all bad!"
If you're thinking about changing careers, but don't have a college degree, here are the top jobs that don't require one, based on current earnings and job-demand!
We'll count 'em down, like Casey Kasem!
2. Communications equipment mechanic
1. Web developer (Median salary $75,000!!!)
My favorite is at #11, which is pest control worker, also known as exterminator. If I wasn't a deejay, that's what I'd do. In fact, I might moonlight and earn a few extra bucks! The chemicals don't bother me, and I like the outfits!
