The Pet Planet
Welcome to the Pet Planet! Why adopt a pet? For many reasons: companionship, love, fun, responsibility and perhaps a better sense of self and improved health along the way.
Owning a pet can lower a person's blood pressure. They can relax you by watching them play or stroking their fur. They can decrease the recuperation time of sick patients by giving them something to ease their pain and to look forward to. Pets are now often brought in to children’s hospitals and elderly homes to boost moral.
Watching playful pets can give you a great mood boost after a hard day and make you smile and laugh. If you long for someone to take care of and to be loved by they can fill that need as well. They can help you get exercise and play with you as well.
It is a proven fact that pet owners live longer than non-pet owners, plus pets help teach responsibility to kids.
My name is China and I am about 10 years old, maybe older. My past owners were evicted and could not keep me. I am a great dog. I think all Labs are pretty good dogs. When I was 2 years old I had surgery and lost my right front leg. I can get around alright, I have done very well in adapting to the world around me. My age has slowed me down but I still love to lay in the shade of a tree especially with a cool breezes blowing. My past owners loved me so much they said they would help with any medical expenses that I might have.. I get along with most dogs but do not like to be challenged, after all a lady of my age has a right to respect from these young whippersnappers. I am house trained and like to be in when it is really hot or cold. come by and say hello to me...Adoption fee for this dog will be $100.00, which helps with the expenses for spaying poor neutering your pet, all vaccinations, including rabies up to date, heartworm testing, microchip, and any other grooming or medical care that was needed when the dog was rescued by ARF. If you would like to fill out an application online, you can go to our website at www.arf-fresno.com, click on the Adoption Section and complete the application.
