The Pet Planet
Welcome to the Pet Planet! Why adopt a pet? For many reasons: companionship, love, fun, responsibility and perhaps a better sense of self and improved health along the way.
Owning a pet can lower a person's blood pressure. They can relax you by watching them play or stroking their fur. They can decrease the recuperation time of sick patients by giving them something to ease their pain and to look forward to. Pets are now often brought in to children’s hospitals and elderly homes to boost moral.
Watching playful pets can give you a great mood boost after a hard day and make you smile and laugh. If you long for someone to take care of and to be loved by they can fill that need as well. They can help you get exercise and play with you as well.
It is a proven fact that pet owners live longer than non-pet owners, plus pets help teach responsibility to kids.
|This little ray of sunshine was lucky enough to be adopted from ARF as an 8 week old puppy. Brittany stayed with the same family for 8 years and was brought back to ARF when her family had to move and couldn't take her along. Brittany is a very young 8 years old and she's a total love. She gets along well with other dogs and with small children. She hasn't been around cats to know how she would do with them. Brittany, who weighs about 30-35 pounds, knows how to walk on a leash and she enjoys going for walks. She counts belly rubs among her favorite things in life. Picture yourself coming home to that happy, adorable little face every day. Now come on down and take Brittany home to make that possible. It's hard to believe but Brittany qualifies for the ARF Senior discount so her adoption fee is $100. The adoption fee helps with the expenses for spaying or neutering your pet, all vaccinations, including rabies up to date, heartworm testing, microchip, and any other grooming or medical care that was needed when the dog was rescued by ARF. If you would like to fill out an application online, you can go to our website at www.arf-fresno.com, click on the Adoption Section and complete the application.
