The Pet Planet

Welcome to the Pet Planet!  Why adopt a pet? For many reasons: companionship, love, fun, responsibility and perhaps a better sense of self and improved health along the way.

Owning a pet can lower a person's blood pressure. They can relax you by watching them play or stroking their fur. They can decrease the recuperation time of sick patients by giving them something to ease their pain and to look forward to. Pets are now often brought in to children’s hospitals and elderly homes to boost moral.

Watching playful pets can give you a great mood boost after a hard day and make you smile and laugh. If you long for someone to take care of and to be loved by they can fill that need as well. They can help you get exercise and play with you as well.

It is a proven fact that pet owners live longer than non-pet owners, plus pets help teach responsibility to kids.

If you are interested in adopting the animals in the photos, or any of the other animals available at the CCSPCA, please contact them via the contact info listed below.

295566 Snow is a 3 month old all white kitten that looks like a snow ball when curled up for a nap. It is the little pink nose that lets you know that there is a kitten there! We continue to have and will all through the holidays, kittens of all types and personalities. Kittens are fun, batteries not required!!

295434 Rex is a 3 month old Catahoula and Australian Shepherd Blend. He is understandably nervous at being in our Animal Center. He is a great candidate for training which will bring a lifetime of love and fun. We love our puppies and we ask everyone to think about all the work and joy that goes into them before adopting to make sure that you are ready!

286534 Kennedy is a fun toy gathering 2 month old Tabby boy! He loves to play, and as you can see he ate the whole dish of food while his brother was out of the cage!! These two have a lot of fun together and it is all on for adventure when they visit the get acquainted room! We have lots of kittens just making weight so that they can be spayed or neutered and go home with someone!! These two would love to go together, and when they curl up they look like one long cat. We will be out at the Scottish Society's Highland Games this Sat at Kearny park and if these two don't get adopted maybe they will hear the bagpipes while looking for a home!

286403 Camelot is a freshly groomed adult Lhasa Apso that looks as though he has the biggest eyes ever, and that they are commanding you to help him...please! His eyes plead, please give me a home, especially after I was so patient at being groomed! We love our breeds that the hair grows and is more hypo-allergenic for those with allergies, it is hard when they come in looking like they were the mop forgotten in the shed! He is now ready to walk the red carpet in Hollywood or preferably in your home!! Hopefully he will be in his new home by Sat. but if not he too will smell the Shepherd's Pie at the Scottish Society's Highland Games at Kearny Park!

Bently is an American Eskimo that needed treatment for kennel cough. Bently is just about done with treatment so he will need his own home. For mire information on Fostering great dogs or puppies like Bently, visit CCSPCA.com or call 559-233-0115
