The Pet Planet

Welcome to the Pet Planet!  Why adopt a pet? For many reasons: companionship, love, fun, responsibility and perhaps a better sense of self and improved health along the way.

Owning a pet can lower a person's blood pressure. They can relax you by watching them play or stroking their fur. They can decrease the recuperation time of sick patients by giving them something to ease their pain and to look forward to. Pets are now often brought in to children’s hospitals and elderly homes to boost moral.

Watching playful pets can give you a great mood boost after a hard day and make you smile and laugh. If you long for someone to take care of and to be loved by they can fill that need as well. They can help you get exercise and play with you as well.

It is a proven fact that pet owners live longer than non-pet owners, plus pets help teach responsibility to kids.

If you are interested in adopting the animals in the photos, or any of the other animals available at the CCSPCA, please contact them via the contact info listed below.

297393 Panda has been on a long journey to a new home. This 1 year old smooth coated Border Collie has been dumped, fostered, adopted and now unfortunately returned because the family pet did not treat her well. This girl is a sweet heart that does need more training, but is willing to learn. We love our Panda and hope we can find her family match for life!
335225 Hudson is an interesting breed, a Turkish Van, which is similar to an Angora but has been kissed by the sun on the head, nose and tail. He looks like a Flame Point, however when you pick him up you notice he only has his sunlight orange on his tail. He has the silky soft angora coat, and he loves to flop into your arms for love. He does like to have fun too, he is a living compassionate work of art for you!!

335129 Clementine has 9 years of experience loving humans. She is one of our Senior Cats that we are featuring during Adopt A Senior Month. This beautiful declawed girl is a domestic medium hair that is just purr-fectly affectionate, has a constant motor, and the softest fur. She has to be an indoor cat since she is declawed. Please visit our website for a great list of why it is a great thing to adopt a senior pet.
334403 Chico is another Senior that is already fortunate to have been saved and fostered by our Hospital Staff. He came in injured after being rescued by one of our caring Officers, treated for his injuries, had to wear the lampshade collar to heal, and now is happy to be up for adoption, wiggling happily without the funny collar! He is a 6 year old Chihuahua Terrier blend that hopes to live many more happy years in a safe adoptive home.
