Jacqueline Samuel started her business in June and says it’s already booming.

Those in need of snuggle just need to reach into their wallets.

A Penfield, N.Y., woman is offering customers an hour of cuddling for a cool $60.

"There are different kinds of cuddling positions, but I typically always start out spooning and I am pretty small, so usually I'm the little spoon," Jacqueline Samuel, who runs "The Snuggery" out of her upstate cottage.

The 29-year-old said the non-sexual sessions vary, but she has a list of rules that customers must follow, including showering before appointments and no nudity.

The University of Rochester graduate says business has been booming since it kicked off this summer. She's even hired a second snuggler to keep up with demand.

"I think a lot of people don't have someone in their life that they can receive comforting touch from on a regular basis,"

Legendary television chef Julia Child, above in 1999, was an early inspiration for Martha Stewart.

Long before “Julie & Julia,” Martha Stewart learned to cook with a copy of “Mastering the Art of French Cooking.”

Stewart was 19 and in Paris for the first time. She happened to head into the Le Cordon Bleu and bought Julia Child’s legendary cookbook.

“I cooked the entire book. I just didn’t write about it,” she says with a laugh.

“I learned so much that I got volume two and did all the French breads and croissants,” Stewart says. “My daughter grew up eating all my experiments and she still thinks my croissants were the best she’s ever had.”

Stewart may not have put her stories on paper back then, but the entertaining maven is taking her years of kitchen experience to the small screen this week.

Her latest project, “Martha Stewart’s Cooking School,” premiering Sunday at 4 p.m. on PBS, goes back to basics.

HOLLYWOOD DIRT:

Nicki and Mariah at each other's throats!

Nicki Minaj derailed the "American Idol" auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina Tuesday, after swearing at Mariah Carey and threatening, "I'm gonna knock you out"... sources tell TMZ.

In the footage, obtained by TMZ, Nicki is clearly furious, shouting, "I told them I'm not f****n' putting up with her f****n' highness over there."

Sources say Nicki later threatened to "knock out" Mariah, but she said it before the video starts.

It all went down while the two were sitting at the judge's table, with Keith Urban sitting in between them and Randy Jackson sitting on the far end, next to Mariah.

TMZ reports the whole thing exploded over a disagreement over a contestant's performance.

Listen closely as you play the video... you'll hear:

Nicki  Get this s**t in self control.  Get in control.  Get in control.
Randy  Settle down, settle down
Nicki  Don't lose your head.  Don't lose your head (inaudible).  Don't tell me I'm a gangster.
Nicki  (inaudible) every 5 minutes.  So every time you patronize me, I'm-ma take it back, and if you've got a f**king problem, handle it.
Nicki  I told them I'm not f**kin' putting up with her f**king highness over there.  Figure it the f**k out.  Figure it out.
Nicki  I'm not gonna sit here every f**king minute to have you come down and harass me every minute everyday.

Mariah is talking back at Nicki but it's hard to hear what she's saying.

According to MouthToEars.com, producers ended the auditions for the day so the two judges could cool down.  We've confirmed that happened.

Big wigs on the show seem uncharacteristically upset by the blow up.  It seems producers are worried about Mariah and Nicki co-existing for the long haul.

Nigel Lythgoe
tells TMZ, "The statement [that Nicki made a death threat] is absolute rubbish.  It's absolutely not true in any way, shape or form."  Nigel added that Mariah confronted Nicki this morning and asked if she made the death threat and Nicki said absolutely not.  Nigel says Mariah's people are stirring the pot and gave her bad info.

Nicki Minaj
's rant on the "American Idol" set Tuesday went way beyond name-calling ... she threatened Mariah Carey's life -- this according to sources connected to the production.

Our sources say ... in the heat of the argument, Nicki said, "If I had a gun I would shoot her."

The alleged threat was not captured on the video obtained by TMZ.  But this is interesting ... if you listen to the audio closely, 11 seconds in you hear Nicki say to Mariah, "Off with your head! Off with your head!."

A source close to Nicki says the singer calls B.S. on the death threat allegation.

Seth McFarlane will host The Oscars

It will be MacFarlane's first appearance on the Oscar stage

"Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane is to serve as host of the 85th Oscars telecast in Hollywood, producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced Monday.

This will be MacFarlane's first appearance on the Oscar stage.

"We are thrilled to have Seth MacFarlane host the Oscars. His performing skills blend perfectly with our ideas for making the show entertaining and fresh," Zadan and Meron said in a joint statement. "He will be the consummate host, and we are so happy to be working with him."

"It's truly an overwhelming privilege to be asked to host the Oscars," MacFarlane said. "My thoughts upon hearing the news were -- one, I will do my utmost to live up to the high standards set forth by my predecessors, and two, I hope they don't find out I hosted the 'Charlie Sheen Roast.'"

"Seth is unbelievably talented," said Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Hawk Koch. "We couldn't be happier with the creative team we've assembled. With Craig, Neil and now Seth, we're off to a great start."

The 85th Academy Awards will be broadcast live Feb. 24 on ABC.
