LIFESTYLE FUN:
10 Things You Should Never Buy at Garage Sales

In tough economic times everyone’s looking for bargains. But while it’s a great idea to buy used bookshelves, books, and CDs, there are some things that just shouldn’t be bought used.
Bike or motorcycle helmets
Helmets are meant to protect you from one accident. Sometimes damage isn’t visible, so buy a new helmet to make sure you’re getting all the protection you need.
Child car seats
A car seat that has been in an accident may not protect your child in another. Damaged car seats are common; about one in ten have been in an accident, found one survey conducted in England. Brand-new car seats can cost as little as $50, and safety technology improves each year. Don’t risk your child’s life.
Tires
If they’ve been in an accident, tires are likely to be unstable and unreliable.
Wet suits and swimsuits
Don’t buy used any extremely personal products, especially if they hug your body. Also, constant changes in water pressure wear out wetsuits, making them more likely to tear.
Mattresses
With bed bugs infesting homes in record numbers, chances are the critters could lurk in any used mattress. You might also end up sleeping with other people’s mold, mites, bacteria, and bodily fluids (yuck!).
Cribs
Scores of crib recalls, as well as changing safety standards, make it hard to verify the safety of a used crib.
Laptops
Laptops are more likely to be dropped, knocked around and spilled on, simply because they’re out in the world, while a desktop computer sits (mostly) safe at home.
Plasma TVs
It’s hard to determine how well TVs, DVD players, and other electronic devices have been cared for by their previous owners. If your plasma screen dies, it can cost thousands of dollars to fix or replace—sometimes almost as much as it would cost to buy a new TV.
Shoes
Used shoes have been molded to their previous owner’s feet. Poorly fitting shoes can cause pain and health problems over time.
Hats
Hats are rarely cleaned before they sold. They may contain remnants of hair products, sweat, or skin infections.
Now you know.....ewww.
HOLLYWOOD DIRT:

WATCH: VAMPBERT! Adam Lambert’s appearance on 'Pretty Little Liars' previewed
Lambert will be making his debut in a special Halloween episode of the
It was learned a couple months back that Adam Lambert would be making his TV debut in a cameo on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars. Well, it’s very nearly upon us—”This Is a Dark Ride” debuts on October 23rd, with Glambert in tow, and we even have a preview of his appearance, courtesy of Rickey.org. In it, Lambert (in full Halloween vampire getup) has a conversation with Aria about her absent boyfriend and a set Adam’s just about to play, before a shadowy, costumed figure comes over and doses Aria’s drink with something.

Lindsay Lohan and Dina in violent domestic fight
Lindsay Lohan and mama Dina were in a blowout, violent fight early this morning, that ended in a 911 call with cops rushing to the scene, TMZ has reported. It started last night when the duo went to a nightclub in New York City. TMZ says they left the club at around 4 AM and headed back to Dina's home in Long Island.
Lindsay and Dina started arguing in the car and it escalated when they got home. We're told it became physical with Lindsay sustaining a cut on her leg. TMZ also reports that there was property damage, including a broken bracelet of Lindsay's, that occurred during the scuffle.
Cops are still on scene.
Before the fight started, the two were at Electric Room, the nightclub inside the Dream Downtown -- the same hotel where Lindsay allegedly hit a dude while pulling into the garage.
