BEAT THE FLU FACE! CHECK OUT THE TIPS BELOW!
It’s sick season, but that doesn’t mean you need to show it. Here are some beauty tips to beat the bug — or at least to fake it.
Skip the heavy makeup: The flu is dehydrating, so any product will look cakey. And face it — you’re probably not in the mood to apply it. Also, watery and itchy eyes are no match for mascara.
Embrace bronzer: Just a few days spent in bed and away from the sun can make any face look washed out. Mask paleness with a sweep of bronzer — simple enough for even the shakiest of hands.
Bite your lips: Lightly, of course. The rush of blood brightens up colorless lips, a quick fix for when balm isn’t handy. My mom used to tell me to do this when she dropped me off at school, half asleep. Or, go all out with a bright lipstick. A pop of color on the lips diverts attention from a runny nose or watery eyes.
Wash your hair: If your face is bare, your hair should at least be clean for a fresh look. Plus, the steam from the shower can soothe achy muscles and reduce congestion. If you're simply too sick to get the job done, opt for a healthy dose of dry shampoo and pile your hair into a ballerina bun.
