Today's college kids still hold hard and fast to traditional gender roles, like men proposing marriage to women, a survey found.

When it comes to popping the question, we're still traditionalists.

In a survey of undergraduate guys and gals conducted by researchers at UC Santa Cruz, 68.4 percent of men and 66 percent of women said they would "definitely want" the man in the relationship to propose marriage.

Study author Rachael D. Robnett, a doctoral candidate in psychology at the university, surveyed 277 undergraduate psychology majors aged 17 to 26. The study was limited to heterosexual students.

Not one of the 136 men surveyed said that he "would definitely want" his female partner to propose, and none of the women responded that she "would definitely want" to do the asking.

There is a raging war among 3 Las Vegas properties to snag Britney Spears as their headliner.

Britney was in serious negotiations with one of the Caesars properties to perform several nights a week on a regular basis, as well as make regular appearances at several clubs and pool events.  Well, two other properties -- at least one not associated with Caesars -- have thrown their hat in the ring.

There's a story out that Britney has already inked a $200 million, 2-year deal with Caesars.  WRONG.  No deal has been signed.

But as we reported .... sources connected with the negotiations tell us ... Britney could get $100 mil a year and maybe more.  That's what Celine Dion made and Britney could be an even bigger draw.
