LIFESTYLE FUN:

A soldier serving in Afghanistan teamed up with a pizza place in Florida to cook up a memorable birthday present for his wife: a heart-shaped pie.

Army National Guard Maj. Shawn Fulker enlisted the help of Mellow Mushroom in Fleming Island, Fla., to deliver a pepperoni pizza and a gift card to his wife and their 5-year-old son Ethan on Thursday for her 41st birthday. Fulker was thousands of miles away, making it a record-setting “pizza-to-go,” but Mellow Mushroom is his family's favorite pizza place.

Mellow Mushroom decided to go the extra mile as well. The restaurant made the Fulkers a special heart-shaped pizza containing little heart-shaped pepperonis, and didn't charge a penny for any of it.

The heart-shaped pizza - with heart-shaped pepperonis - that was delivered to the Fulker residence.

"I couldn't believe it," Josephine Fulker told the Daily News on Wednesday. "I thought it was such a wonderful thing for them to do."

Josephine planned to have a low-key 41st birthday, aiming to get her nails done. Her husband had sent candy and flowers earlier.

Brooke Chafee, marketing manager for Mellow Mushroom restaurants in the region, came up with the idea of the heart-shaped pizza and helped deliver it to the Fulkers' home. Cook Justin McKeever thought of producing the little heart-shaped pepperonis.

HOLLYWOOD DIRT:

Oklahoma City was final stop on the "American Idol" auditions. And despite being in the heart of America, there were some really out-there contestants -- one of whom might look very familiar.

1. "Pepper Labeija"

Pepper is clearly above the 29-year-old age limit. "She" clearly is a man as well, but do you recognize the star under the wig? Yep, that's former "American Idol" judge Steven Tyler. Pepper Labeija was actually a famous New York drag queen who passed away in 2003. Find out if Pepper/Steven made it to Hollywood....

HA HA HA!

Only one is wearing lovely diamond earrings.

We're just sayin'.

Kristin Chenoweth says she was the victim of a screaming, angry gate agent who bullied her and embarrassed her when she tried to board an American Airlines flight with her service dog ... and now the airline is begging for her forgiveness.

TMZ has learned, the altercation went down on Tuesday as Kristin boarded a flight from Dallas to L.A.. We're told Kristin had her service dog in tow -- as she always does -- when she was confronted by a gate agent supervisor who claimed Kristin didn't have the proper paperwork to bring the dog on board.

When Kristin protested, insisting she had done everything correctly, the agent got "verbally abusive" in front of several passengers ... scolding the actress ... and Kristin was so shaken up, she burst into tears.

Eventually airline officials realized a mistake had been made -- and Kristin was allowed to board the flight with her dog. Whoops.

After the flight, Kristin tweeted, "American Airlines: Dallas flight attnt supervisor Ms. Kidwell. Abuse not okay. #tripfromhell."

Seems American Airlines was paying attention to the tweet -- because a rep for AA tells us, "We have been in touch with Ms. Chenoweth to offer our apologies for the misunderstanding. We refunded the [$125] cabin pet charge as soon as we realized the mistake. We hope she will consider flying American again in the future."
